Who we are

Gamefunio (gamefunio.com) is run by 1337Clicks, the Netherlands. We are responsible for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

  • No accounts, no sign-up, no chat. Children never give us their name, email or age.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
  • Game progress stays in your own browser.
  • Ads are shown with child-directed treatment: no personalised ads and no remarketing.

Game progress (local storage)

Our games save progress, coins, outfits and the sound setting in your browser's local storage under keys starting with gf:. This information never leaves your device and we cannot see it. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for gamefunio.com in your browser.

Anonymous game statistics

When a game starts, a level is finished or an ad break happens, the game sends a short anonymous message to our server with the name of the game, the type of event and, if you came through one of our adverts, a campaign code. It contains no identifier, and we do not store your IP address with it. We use these counts to see which games people enjoy and whether our own advertising works.

Server logs and Cloudflare

Like every website, our server and our network provider Cloudflare process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Advertising by Google

The games are paid for by advertising from Google (AdSense and H5 Games Ads). Because Gamefunio is made for children, every ad request is tagged for child-directed treatment. Google then turns off personalised advertising and remarketing, blocks requests to third-party ad vendors and applies its protections for children. Google may still use cookies or similar technology for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent message; without consent Google shows limited ads. Children's privacy

Gamefunio is directed at children. We do not ask children for personal information and we have no features that would let them share it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data, and to object to its processing. Email [email protected]. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
